What we collect
Only what a booking needs:
- Your name, email address and phone number.
- The dates of your stay and the number of guests.
- What you paid, and the status of that payment.
- Any message you send us.
We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not sell anything to anyone.
Card details
Your card number never reaches this site. Payment is entered on Stripe's own checkout pages and handled by Stripe, who are a certified payment processor. We receive only the result — whether it succeeded, the amount, and a reference we can use to issue a refund.
Why we need it
To take your booking, confirm it, send you check-in instructions, take payment, return a refund if you cancel, and hold or release a security deposit where the stay asks for one. Your name and contact details also let the host reach you about the stay itself.
Who else sees it
- The host of the place you book — your name, contact details and stay dates, so they can host you.
- Stripe — payment processing, refunds and deposits.
- Resend — delivering our emails to you.
- Our hosting and database providers — storing the site and its records.
Each of these acts on our instructions for the purposes above. Nobody else receives your details.
How long we keep it
Booking and payment records are kept while we may need them for tax, accounting and dispute purposes. Everything else we remove on request once your stay has ended.
Your choices
Ask us what we hold about you, ask for a correction, or ask for it to be removed after your stay. Email hello@staylum.com. We answer these ourselves — there is no form to fill in.
Cookies
We set a cookie when you begin a checkout, so the dates you are holding stay with your browser and you can return to the confirmation. Signing in sets a session cookie. There are no advertising or analytics cookies.
